Chinese Folk Tale

The Seven Chinese Sisters by Kathy Tucker, Illustrated by Grace Lin 2003

The seven Chinese girls were sisters, but all were very different. Each had her own strength except for the seventh sister who was a baby. She was too young. The sixth sister could make the best noodle soup. It was so good that a dragon was lured into their house, but instead of taking the soup, he snatched up the baby. The sisters heard her cry for help, and each used her own gift to save their sister.

The original version is about Chinese brothers who each have their own talent.

It's a cute folk tale good for ages 3+.
