I See the Moon

I See the Moon by Kathy Appelt, Illus. by Debra Reid Jenkins, 1997. It's one of my favorite little nursery rhymes that this author uses to talk about our Creator.

"I see the moon and the moon sees me. Does anyone know I'm alone here at sea? My boat is so tiny and the waves are so tall. Who could be listening? Who'll hear my call?...When I set sail again, here's what I'll know, That God will always be with me wherever I go."

The world can seem so large, but when we believe in a Creator God, we have assurance that we're not too small. God not only created us but desires to know us individually and have a relationship with us. He is with us no matter where we go.
