Right Foot, Left Foot or Two Left Feet?

Righty and Lefty: A Tale of Two Feet by Rachel Vail, Illustrated by Matthew Cordell, 2007

This is a silly book about a right foot and a left foot who don't seem to get along to well. Each has their own ideas about what to do and wear. Since they belong to the same body, they have to learn to get along.

"Righty is ready to go places. Lefty is a little cold and would like a few more minutes under the blankets...Lefty is sorry for getting distracted. Lefty taps a bit, waiting, waiting, lonely down alone on the linoleum. It is no fun to be Lefty without Righty. When Righty comes back down, Lefty wants to play. But Righty has fallen asleep, and needs to be stomped."

Although this book doesn't really teach which is the right foot and which is the left, you can teach your child while reading the book. The book can be used as a tool as well as just for laughs!
