Change of Address

Moving to a new home for a young child can often create a lot of anxiety for them. Preparing children for the move by reading stories can help with open communication about your child's feelings and help the child look at the positive side of moving to a new home.

Some good books are:

A New House for Smudge by Miriam Moss

Moving Day by Cyndy Szekeres

A mouse family has to find a new home because when it rains, water leaks in. They search for a new home. The children wonder where they'll sleep and what they'll play with. Father explains that they'll pack all of their belongings. They all work together and live in their new warm and dry home.

The Berenstain Bears' Moving Day by Stan & Jan Berenstain
