The Doctor

Going to the doctor's office or to the hospital is something kids do with their parents quite frequently. It can be frightening to children at times, so talking things through with your child before their visit can be helpful at calming their fears.

There are many books out their on this subject for children which can help aid in your discussion and give them visuals. It may also be helpful to read the books afterwards to help them see the similarities and differences in their experiences.

Curious George Goes to the Hospital

When Molly Was in the Hospital: A Book for Brothers and Sisters of Hospitalized Children, By: D. Duncan (1994).
