M is for Melody

M is for Melody: A Music Alphabet by Kathy-Jo Wargin, Illustrated by Katherine Larson

This was a great find at my local library. Since I have a very talented musician for a husband, I know that music education is important in my home. This book will do exactly that--educate you, your child or your students in all areas of music. It teaches about jazz, brass, woodwind, strings, conductors, composers, tempo and so much more. It's not merely an alphabet book.

"The letter M is melody. A tune is what we hear when music notes are played in line and flow into our ear. And M is also meter. You can be a music star when you learn the basic pace is four beats in a bar. One, two, three, and four!"
