Moby Dick: Chasing the Great White Whale

Moby Dick: Chasing the Great White Whale by Eric A. Kimmel, 2012, is a great introduction to the epic novel Moby Dick by Herman Melville.

"It won't be long now," Ahab said.
"We're closing in. He knows."
Then from the mast, we heard the cry,

His head rose high above the waves
a Matterhorn of white,
The angle of his sickle jaw
gave everyone a fright."

In the back of the book is an author's note giving details about the Herman Melville and his novel first published in 1851 under the title The Whale. There is a glossary of terms which includes blubber, harper, Leviathan, Matterhorn, whaler, and more.
