You Can't Make a Move Without Your Muscles

Let's Read-and-Find-Out Science Book, You Can't Make a Move Without Your Muscles by Paul Showers is a good resource for a human body science lesson.

In addition to explaining things like the difference between skeletal muscles and smooth muscle, how many muscles we have in our bodies, and how your heart works as a muscle, it gives directives like: "Make a funny face", "Hop up and down on one foot five times", "Scratch your head with one hand and pat your stomach with the other" to explain you have to use your muscles to do all of those things.
