Big Words for Little People

I have blogged about author/actress Jamie Lee Curtis in the past. Big Words for Little People reviews and explains big words that grown-ups tend to use around children. Young children may often recognize having heard these words in the past but do not necessarily know what they mean.

Let me list these big words here for you:

Privacy, Impossible, Stupendous, Superb, Celebrate, Consequence,
Irate, Cooperate, Appropriate, Inappropriate, Patience, Disgusting,
Understand, Inconsiderate, Considerate, Responsible, Persevere,
Different, Family, Respect, Love, Intelligence!
"When something is perfectly right for your age, like TV and music, toys all the rage, when a G-rated movie's the one that you seek. APPROPRIATE is the word Mom will speak. But many things are too old for you that lots of your friends may still get to do. INAPPROPRIATE is the word our mom picks if you want to watch PG-13 when you're six."
This clever picture book is a wonderful conversation starter!

I heartily concur that this intelligent opuscule will greatly augment the phraseology of your offspring, turning him or her into an ebullient elocutionist.
