Five Little Chicks

Five Little Chicks” by Nancy Tafuri
This cute counting book about a mama hen and her little chicks is perfect for three and four year olds.

“Once there were five little chicks! Said the first little chick, ‘Peep! What can I eat?’ And with a little squirm, spied a fat, wiggly worm. Said the second little chick ‘Peep! What can we eat?’ And with a little shrug, found a

spotted, crawly bug."

As I have mentioned in another post about Kevin Henkes’ “Little White Rabbit”, this book could be read during the Easter and springtime season.
