It Looked Like Spilt Milk

"It Looked Like Spilt Milk" by Charles G. Shaw, 1947

This beloved picture book that encourages children to use their imaginations has been a favorite for decades.

"Sometimes it looked like an Angel. But it wasn't an Angel. Sometimes it looked like Spilt Milk. But it wasn't Spilt Milk. It was just a Cloud in the Sky."

One of the best places to help spur on a child's imagination is in nature. When children look up into the sky, there is so much beauty, so many things that make a child wonder. I still look up at the clouds and imagine what they resemble.

Another great similar book is Eric Carle's "Little Cloud". Both books are about the same thing, and both books are equally worth reading.
